Our remote location ensures that the food and drink produced here is of the highest quality. Whether is is foraged or farmed the produce is grown in some of the least cleanest areas of the world.
Our seafood is prized by chefs in the finest restaurants. Although most of this catch is exported around the world we still keep a little locally to showcase to visitors this produce at it’s freshest. Loch Roag regularly serves locally caught fish including Monkfish, Hake, Herring, Mackerel and Lythe (personal favourite). Salmon is also never far from the table.
In addition we have great croft produce such as Lewis Lamb, Beef and locally grown potatoes & vegetables.
Lewis & Harris, one of the nation’s favourite islands, exudes the laid back atmosphere you would expect from an island far from the hustle of mainland life. It’s a place where all the family gets to relax and enjoy a peaceful break. There’s a different beach for every day of the week and glorious open spaces to explore. The island has modern-day service and facilities as any other top destination and yet there remains a community fell through the strong cultural connection with the past – all wrapped up in the most fantastic coastal scenery.
