The meals served at Loch Roag are prepared using local produce of the highest quality. Many local businesses supply us with foodstuffs ranging from black puddings for breakfast to fresh salad for our dinner menu.
We have supplies of fresh vegetables, salad, herbs and fruit from around the island and there is a marked difference in quality when compared with what is available from the supermarkets.
We combine these ingredients with other local produce, such as Salmon, Lewis Lamb, Stornoway Black pudding and eggs from Callanish to give our guest a truly island meal.
Breakfast Meal: Over the years we have developed our breakfast menu to cater to most of everyone’s tastes. Included are some local specialities which the more adventurous among you are welcome to try. Our most popular are porridge, locally smoked kippers and white pudding. All in all, it makes for an interesting tasting session at breakfast.
Evening Meal: Our experience has shown us how to provide a dining experience that is relaxed and enjoyable. Whether you’re tired and wanting a quiet meal or bursting to chat the night away about the day’s experience, dinner at Loch Roag can provide both. We have a large selection of local and international Celtic music to choose from as an accompaniment to your meal. Combine this with views out across Loch Roag towards the hills of Uig and Harris and we’re sure you won’t be disappointed.
